Dear parents and carers,
Please read my letter, sent out today, regarding industrial action by members of the NEU next week. We are able to open on Wednesday 15th and Thursday 16th March and expect pupils to attend as normal. Kindly note: there will be no after school clubs running on these days.
The incredible eggs project has been very exciting for our young people this week. It’s been a great opportunity for pupils. Thanks go to Lorraine and the Science team for organising this. Drumhead continue to visit and run drumming workshops. The National Youth Theatre is running a six week work skills project with two sixth form groups on Friday mornings.
Our parent group met this week. You’ve received a flyer about a mindfulness workshop running on Thursday 30th March facilitated by SIV. Please reply directly to the group on info.hpgroup@aol.com
Next Friday is Red Nose day: we’re asking pupils to wear red, we’ll hold a special assembly and there will be a disco in the afternoon. It’s always a special day. Thank you in advance for your support.
Please do keep updated about what’s happening in school by looking at our website—www.highshoreschool.co.uk—or following us on twitter: @HighshoreSchool.
Have a good weekend
Eileen
