Dr Evelina Dimopoulou - Headteacher
I am honoured to be the Headteacher of Highshore. I have worked within the education sector since 2005. I have gained a wide range of senior leadership experience across secondary, primary, and special schools. Throughout my teaching career, I have been fortunate to work with some amazing colleagues who have influenced my practice, inspired me, and kept me professionally challenged. I have a Master’s degree in Autism and a PhD in autism focusing on teachers’ efficacy. I absolutely love my job and have a passion for developing and raising outcomes for all pupils.
My aim is to lead Highshore School in an exciting period of development, ensuring we work in an inclusive, holistic, trauma informed practice where all children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities can thrive in an outstanding provision; where families can be listened to and supported. Moreover, I am keen to work and influence education with colleagues beyond the boundary of the Local Authority.
I have twin toddler boys and in my spare time, I enjoy reading and exploring the outdoors.
I am the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the School.
Rosie Molloy - Assistant Headteacher
I've been at Highshore since September '22 and have taught a range of classes and cohorts since being here. I am the reading and literacy subject lead, and the assistant headteacher for curriculum, and the formal pathway in KS3 and KS4. I am passionate about all of our students leaving Highshore with not only a reading strategy, but a lifelong love of reading and books.
Prior to joining Highshore I was a primary school teacher in Islington for eight years, where I also led on Science, Music, Art, DT and wellbeing. While there I worked with lots of students with SEN including ASD and ADHD, and my experience and the training I received working with these students inspired me to want to work in a specialist SEN school.
I am a Deputy Designated person for Safeguarding at the School.
Richard Burbage - Assistant Headteacher
I’ve been at Highshore since January 2023, when I joined as an Assistant Headteacher.
From September I will be leading support for our pupils in the pre-formal pathway in the school as well as teaching a class half of the week. I have peviously been head of Sixth Form, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I am a Deputy Designated person for Safeguarding at the School.
Sarah DiCampo - Assistant Headteacher
I joined Highshore as an Assistant Headteacher in September 2021.
Before joining Highshore I worked at a special needs school in Stratford, East London, working with students of all ages. I came to Highshore after seeing all the fantastic work the students do here. I was so impressed by the work experience opportunities I wanted to be part of the students journey and join in with all the hard work, and I have previously been responsible for the Careers Curriculum.
Abdul Moquith - Assistant Headteacher
I joined Highshore as an Assistant Headteacher in September 2024.
I come with more than fifteen years of experience in senior leadership, mainly in secondary education. My teaching has been, primarily, in the area of STEM although I have led various departments. I hold a degree in Aeronautical engineering.
Outside of work I enjoy travelling, so I have been all over the world to do exciting activities such as sky diving, swimming with sharks and dolphins, white water rafting and underwater caving to name but a few. I also love playing sports and still play football to a good standard even at my age!
Lucy Benson - Acting Assistant Headteacher
I joined Highshore in 2022.
Before I came to Highshore I worked as a teacher in a school in Tower Hamlets for over eight years, where I enjoyed supporting every pupil to be the best they can be. I chose to work at Highshore firstly because of our shared values, and then when I visited the school I was so impressed with how all the students were so respectful, friendly and motivated.
I became head of maths in 2023.
Nick Clark - Admin and Facilities manager
I began my journey at Highshore School in September 2010 as a Teaching Assistant in the Art room, fuelled by my passion for fine art, which I studied at degree level. Transitioning to the role of Business and Communication Liaison Officer in September 2016, I focused on expanding our work experience opportunities and nurturing relationships with external partners.
During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I stepped up to support our office operations and in April 2021 I assumed the role of Admin and Facilities Manager, where I now oversee our school building and lead our dedicated office team. Ensuring everything runs smoothly is my priority — from managing daily operations to keeping the school building standing strong!
I am committed to supporting the families and young people at Highshore on their journey and I aim to continue for many years to come.
Stephanie King - Family Support Worker
I have been the Family Support Worker at Highshore since February 2024. My role is to enable families to be best placed to support their children, and to advocate for them to access the services they need.
In my capacity as Family Support Worker, I form part of the school’s Designated Safeguarding Team (I am a Deputy Designated person for Safeguarding at the School). Prior to Highshore, I worked with children and families for many years in the London Borough of Merton. My background is in relationship-based work with children and families, and I am systemically trained.
