Dear parents and carers,
OFSTED visited our school on Tuesday and Wednesday this week. It was a very busy few days from receiving notification of the visit on Monday morning. Our pupils shone and they were able to tell the Inspectors many positive things about Highshore! The Inspection judgement is not confirmed until it has been Quality Assured. We will share the report with you as soon as it’s published. We’re grateful to you for your support. Thank you to colleagues, parents, Governors and to our young people for everything they’ve done to support the Inspection.
Yesterday we celebrated World Book Day! We had a great day and enjoyed storytelling, performance, dance and a visit form an author! Pupils looked wonderful and there were many inventive costumes. Huge thanks go to Fooditude for another creative cake. It really is a highlight of the day! Prior to the day classes collect reading points. Winners of book sacks by 9A, 11C and 13L.
Our parent group is meeting on Monday from 10-30am. Please do come along and support each other and our school. The group is planning an event for former parents and pupils towards the end of the month. Please contact Don Burford on info.hpgroup@aol.com if you’d like to come along or get more involved.
Thank you to all parents for your support in what has been a very busy week. The kind feedback and messages of support we’ve had really make a difference and are appreciated.
Have a good weekend,
Eileen
