Dear parents and carers,
We’ve had a great week in school. On Tuesday Jeff and the NYT after school drama group attended a workshop with the National Youth theatre and two other special schools. We had wonderful feedback about our young people. On Thursday we held our Friendship Fortnight sing song – thanks go to Lee for the work he put into this. Sensory items were sold in the atrium on Thursday by 12L. Also on Thursday 7L enjoyed their visit to Café Van Gogh. Today we all enjoyed our school disco!
Today we said goodbye to Jane Dell who has worked in our Admin team for nineteen years. Jane will be missed by all of us: pupils, parents and colleagues. We thank Jane for everything she’s done to support our school and wish her a long, healthy and happy retirement.
Overt the half term we are again hosting a holiday programme run by Umbrella theatre company. This time the programme is for sixth form pupils.
If you haven’t done so already please take a look at our new website. There is a lot to look at. Our curriculum section has a wealth of information about what our young people are learning—https://highshoreschool.co.uk/our-curriculum/
Pupils return to school on Monday 20th February at the normal start time.
Thank you for your support this half term, we wish you all a very happy holiday.
Eileen
