Dear parents and carers,
We’ve enjoyed the week despite not being able to get outside. Monday’s weather was challenging: we had 40pupils absent. We’ve done as much exercise as we can indoors. Thanks go to colleagues, some of whom have had really difficult journeys this week because of various strikes and the bad weather. The parent group meeting on Monday was also affected by the weather.
On Tuesday we held our carol concert, our Festive lunch was enjoyed by pupils and colleagues on Wednesday – thanks go to Nourish our caterer. Today we celebrated a special assembly where we said goodbye to Chris Weeks, Francois Hilton Jones and a belated goodbye to Vanessa Clark who has been ill for some time. I wrote about Chris and Francois in my end of term letter which was sent out on Wednesday. We wish both of them well in their new careers.
We close to pupils today after what has been a very long term. There has been much to enjoy, including our year 7 pupils settling so well, having visitors more regularly onsite and our Christmas events, which are always a highlight. Thanks go to you all for your support this term. Pupils return on Wednesday 4th January at the normal start time.
We wish you a very happy holiday,
Eileen
