Dear parents and carers,
Pupils have returned to school very happily after the half term break. Last week we had fifteen pupils from years 7 & 8 onsite for a holiday programme. The programme ran all week and was funded by a successful bid the school made. Pupils who participated were all in receipt of pupil premium and had a fun filled five days. We are able through the funding to repeat the programme later this year for pupils in years 9 & 10 and then for older pupils.
This week we’ve had visitors onsite from CENMAC, from the Local Authority Phonics lead and Lee has had input from drumming specialists in music lessons. The National Youth Theatre starts working with us again on Monday. The school dental service cited for the day on Tuesday and saw 83 pupils.
Clubs re started after the holiday and we have again a high take up in terms of numbers which is very positive. Breakfast club, while still low numbers is going very well.
Our parent group is planning to meet onsite on Monday 21st November. Please contact Don Burford at info.hpgroup@aol.com if you would like to attend. We understand that these are difficult times for families. Please contact Nicky Rolfe if you need advice. She is very willing to help you.
We’re working hard to get school attendance back to pre COVIDlev els please do your best to support us.
Have a good weekend,
