This evening we welcomed the National Citizenship Scheme (NCS) who run the Challenge programme during the summer break. We held a meeting for parents of years 11-14. Last year seven of our pupils took part and we hope for even better numbers this summer. It was great that three parents of pupils taking part last year spoke a the meeting and ran small groups. Evelyn, Christine and Karen – with her son Bradley all spoke about the practicalities of the Challenge and what their children had gained from it. Some of the young people present wanted to sign up straight away! Thanks go to Kesiena for her presentation. We are so glad that the NCS want to work with us again. Their programme is a brilliant opportunity for our young people.
