Dear Parents and Carers, Face Front Theatre company joined us again on Monday to present “It’s My Move”. Feedback was that this was an excellent performance and our pupils in 13/14J and 13/14C were all actively taking part. The performance is about transition and a number of classes have benefited from it over the past few years.

Our Year 7 parent’s evening on Monday was well attended. Thanks go to our Parents Group for their support on the evening.

It was “No Pens Day” on Wednesday which is organised every year by the Communication Trust. Pupils enjoyed a range of activities including board games, poetry, collecting bugs in the playground and storytelling. Thanks go to all colleagues for making it such a great day.

On Thursday we celebrated World Poetry Day and heard a number of poems in assembly today to mark this: Well done to 7L, 8A and 9S!

The Parent Resource making group is meeting on Monday. Do come along if you’ve never taken part in the group. It is a great way to support the school and to talk with other parents.

Our EHCp meetings have started again. Can I ask all of you to let the school know in good time that you are able to attend the meeting for your son/ daughter. There is a cost to the school in terms of paying for cover to release teachers to chair meetings and it can be frustrating when people simply don’t turn up. Thank you to you all for your understanding and support.
