Business links day

I had a great day with class 8/9 today. The whole school took part in our business links day. 8/9 went to the Bank of England museum where we tried to lift a bar of gold and then we walked to the Royal Bank of Scotland.  We we’re welcomed, given security passes and shown into the board room. We heard three really different presentations from Jaypal, Ed, and Burcu. The class asked great questions. We then had lunch with a number of other staff from RBS. We were really lucky to be given a tour of the trading floor. RBS very generously gave every pupil a goodie bag which included a piggy bank, sweets, coloured pencils and lots of other gifts. Finally we walked back to Moorgate to catch the tube back to Oval station.

My thanks go to RBS who gave us a lot of time and put a great deal of thought into their presentations. When I asked the class about their best bits of the day they said that they loved the chocolate money given to them by RBS and that they could help themselves to tea and coffee!
